When does this Google madness end? Nobody knows. Everybody is on board though trying to grab whatever piece of return they can from Google Organic results. Hey, it’s free, what else do you want? If you are a business owner who has jumped into the online waters, I’m sure that you are frustrated as hell hearing a million ideas and million methods from a million people. And you also know that there’s no such thing as “free advertising” in our world, at least not yet. So until then, you might want to keep on reading.
“The secret to SEO” This is a boring title basically because of the fact that it sounds like a generic get rich theme that we, Americans are subject to on a daily basis. So all you business owners and work from homers must listen to me. THERE’S NO SECRET TO SEO. It’s very basic and I’m sure you have read this in a lot of places; it’s content. But many sources fail to mention that it has to be relevant content. I tell each of my clients the same thing and it has 3 major clauses;
1- Original Fresh Content
2- Popularity of your site
3- Maintenance
4- Existence
Original and Fresh Content is not as easy as it sounds. We are talking about unique information that will move people to your site. See, the problem with many companies showing up on the top page today is that their pages are optimized for Google with a combination of nonsense sentences and keywords. So, my approach is, why not build a website that actually is optimized for humans? When you do this, you are automatically taking care of the optimization for Google. Come on people, we all know that Google has game and they’re increasing their technology every day finding ways to get rid of this “optimization” deal. Google is always on the side of the users and never the advertisers keep that in mind.
Guess what, once you have original and fresh content, people are going to want to visit your site and link to your site. Hey, we just took care of Popularity as well. I’m not saying you do not have to work on the link exchange thing but I promise that it will be minimal. Also you want to stay away from link farms, link exchange offers and paying for links. So I hear that question, how else am I going to bring links to my site? The answer is content. Write articles, submit it to article sites. Prepare a PR, submit it to Prweb.com. Believe me; all these will bring links to your site. All you have to do is, mention your website at the end of these articles and make sure you link to your site with your advertised link text.
Now you are thinking, “That’s it; I have the content and the links, I’m the king of Google”. That would be wrong. Always remember that while you are doing content and popularity, there are a million competitors doing that and more. So you want to Maintain your content. You want to update it every week so every time Google spiders come to visit your site, they find new useful information. Keep up with daily life and updated news. For example, if you sell farming supplies and the price of grain goes up, you should write an article and put it in your site. Also publish those articles on other articles sites. You can find these sites easily with a “article submit” search on Google.
And the last but not least would be Existence. I don’t want to get all philosophical on you but you have to have some type of existence online. Try to search for your company name on Google and see how many results you get; that’s your existence. You could also name this one “Brand Recognition”. You want to increase that so when somebody searches for farming supplies, they must see your name. You can do this easily by writing articles and Press Releases on a weekly basis. The more you write, the more circulation you will get. If you have a great piece of article or information, acquire a list of media outlets such as local and national newspapers, and fax it to them. They just might bite pick it up. Always remember to include your website at the end as a source and you might have yourself a million dollar makin’, traffic gettin’ website, Google top rankin’ website !!!
People do usually say ‘Content is the king’.
But not content, actually unique content is the king. It’s only the unique content that attracts search engine crawlers. SEO (<a href=”http://www.webdesigningcompany.net/seo-india-search-engine-optimization.php”>Search Engine Optimization</a>) helps to increase the amount of visitors to a website by ranking high in the search engine results and an important part of this optimization depends on content. Content includes Title, Description, and Specific Keywords etc.
Keywords and links are two major things that affect the ranking of any website. Search Engines want only literal contents. Content on any web page speaks for you and your business so it should be completely relevant to your services or products launched by you. Don’t try to misguide your viewers because it’s a fact that content rich websites are often visited by users. Avoid copying contents and gain the confidence of your visitors.
Analyze the words that customers or viewers use when they search for any specific product. Keyword research tools can be used for this purpose. Write the content including that keywords but it should not sound like that you are overdoing it. For instance, every one will be frustrated from the following content-
“We are providing you the best chips. These are the best chips in the country. Do you like chips? If yes, then try our chips because these are the best chips ever and so on”.
Your concentration should be on keywords but not like the above said example.
Your key phrase must have the following characteristics:
• Should completely define your website theme.
• Should describe your product or service.
• It may also include name of your city, country in order to provide you uniqueness.
Try to write for your audience not for yourself. Avoid using words like ‘I think’, ‘In my views’, etc because your aim is to tell the people what they want to know from you. You will have to answer the queries by depending not on your own thinking but on what the reality is. Grab the attention of customers otherwise they just need a single click to go away from you.
Think before writing. Suppose you are selling some product. Find the answers of following questions by yourself-
1. What are the benefits of your product?
2. How it differs from other competitor products?
3. How can you persuade people to buy it?
4. How much of assurance can you provide?
Include those answers in content. There should be something new and informative. If someone thinks that he/she is not gaining anything, no one will bother to continue. Keep your language friendly, informal (not limitless) and slang free. Proof reading is also very necessary. Use spell checker to avoid spelling and grammatical errors.
As reading web content is completely different from reading a hard copy, so try to explain a single idea in a paragraph. Keep the description short and simple. You are writing for human beings also, not only for the search engines. Facts and figures must be accurate. To turn your first time visitors into potential customers, provide the people what they want.
SEO copywriting just needs the right keywords at right places. As a SEO copywriter, you will have to keep two things in mind-
1. Search Engine
2. Audience.
Write content in a way which will help you to get you a high ranking and also to satisfy your clients. Write creative, business oriented and keyword rich copy as you know Google, Yahoo, AltaVista; they all just love good and quality content.

In the process of trying to gain popularity and bring in more business, there are some companies that look at adopting some of the common modes of leveraging through Search engine optimization. This might help them or back fire and lead to their site getting black listed from the index. So, at the end of the day, it really does not matter how good or bad their site is, but what means they adopt to increase traffic.
The two methodologies available for SEO is White hat SEO or Black Hat SEO. The names might sound confusing, but they are modes through which people attract visitors to the page. One of this is ethical while the other is unethical and considered similar to cheating. So, when an individual or organisation is desperate for some visibility, they might adopt this mode, which unfortunately leads them to trouble.
White hat is the direct way of search engine marketing and mode of internet marketing through which the user follows guidelines. They use techniques approved by the Search engines. By tweaking the website, or adding some extra words that might attract attention, the user will rely on links, or Pay per click management to increase their traffic. There are no tricks or shortcuts used here; the content of the page is created to serve the user with information and not just for the SEO benefit. Also called organic search listings, these sites rely on their own strengths rather than manipulating the system.
On the other hand, black hat SEO is a route less preferred because it leads to banning of the website if discovered. Here, the owner of the site might have put in content just so they lure search engines. It could be text hidden in the back drop, or placed off the screen. It is also called spamdex, and is unethical, not approved by the search engines either. Cloaking or invisible text are also used in these sites to lure customers to come over to their portal. Here, the user is trying to con the search engine into believing their website has relevant text when a keyword is entered and so tries to increase the ranking of that portal. Search engine optimization through this method will lead to expulsion and loss of rank of the particular website from the index and it will not be shown in the results displayed on the search engines.
